Birth Control: What No One Tells You

Birth Control: What No One Tells You

Sis, let’s talk about it

because this is one of those topics where every mom has a different story.

For me, when I had the conversation with my doctor, we went through the options: pills, IUD, shots, all of it. And honestly? I said no. I didn’t take birth control because deep down, I was scared of the after-effects. I didn’t want anything that would throw off my hormones, hurt my milk supply while breastfeeding, or just make me feel like a different person in my daily life.

And that’s the part nobody really talks about — the fear. Not every woman wants to be on birth control, and that’s valid. We hear stories from other women who deal with weight gain, mood swings, acne, or worse, and it makes you think, “Do I really want to risk all that?”

But on the flip side, I know moms who do take it, and they say it gives them peace of mind. For some, it works fine. For others, it’s a nightmare. That’s why the conversation is so important — because it’s not one-size-fits-all.

✨ Advice: Don’t let anyone pressure you into birth control if it doesn’t feel right. Have the conversation with your doctor, weigh your options, and make the choice that works for your body, your baby, and your peace of mind. Because at the end of the day, you’re the one living with it.

Deactivate the noise. Listen to yourself. Trust your body.

I’m a wife and a proud mom of three beautiful kids. When people ask what I do, my favorite answer is: everything. I’m truly a maker of all trades, but what I love most is helping people.

Even though I deeply love my family, motherhood hasn’t always been easy. After my first daughter, I struggled not just with raising a child, but with holding on to myself. By the time I had my second, I had gained weight, lost confidence, and just didn’t feel like me anymore.

What I truly needed back then was a strong mom tribe a space to connect with women who could uplift each other, even while juggling diaper duty and sleep schedules.

But by the time I had my third baby, everything started to click. I got my sexy back, my joy, my confidence. I found balance between motherhood and womanhood. I was going out, having fun, taking care of myself and still making sure my family was thriving.

That’s why I created Mom Mode Deactivated: a space for moms to feel seen, supported, and absolutely unstoppable. A sisterhood where we remind each other that we can slay, stay sexy, and be present for our families.

Because here, you’re never alone we’re just a call (or a cocktail) away.
